Pregnancy

Using FAM for conscious conception

Charting with this method is the first tool I recommend to anyone trying to get pregnant or wanting to in the future. FAM can help you get pregnant and stay pregnant. By charting your cycles, you will be able to tell if you are ovulating regularly, and you will be able to pinpoint your most fertile days, allowing you to time love making optimally. Charting will draw an accurate picture of your hormonal health, thus allowing you to optimize your fertility accordingly.

Once you get pregnant, your chart will tell you! And you will know your exact conception date, allowing you to have an accurate due date. This can potentially help you avoid unnecessary tests or procedures during your pregnancy, such as labor induction.

FAM can also reveal certain problems that could otherwise go undetected and could be preventing you from getting pregnant, such as: anovulation, a short luteal phase (sometimes called Luteal Phase Defect), insufficient fertile cervical fluid, hormonal imbalances, thyroid issues, or polycistic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). If you have not conceived within 1 year of trying to conceive, most OB/GYNs will assume that there is an infertility issue and will be quick to prescribe you drugs and/or procedures that can have far-reaching side-effects – often without an actual diagnosis. Many women dealing with infertility end up being told that they have “unexplained infertility” – their doctor(s) cannot find what is standing in the way of them becoming pregnant, or staying pregnant. It is sad that modern medicine so often falls short of getting to the root cause of health problems. The good news is that “unexplained infertility” doesn’t mean that there is no explanation – there usually is. You just need to know where to look for answers.

FAM can help you paint an accurate and surprisingly detailed picture of your gynecological & hormonal health, which can help you better understand what is going on in your body, what might be standing in the way of conceiving, and help you make conscious and informed decisions about which treatments to pursue, if any. Your charts will also tell you if you have an early loss that otherwise could have appeared to be a “late period”. Having repeat losses is a different story than not being able to conceive at all, and this can sometimes go unnoticed by you and your doctor.

Fertility, conception & birth are deeply personal and beautiful aspects of our lives. My wish is that all women be able to trust their bodies ability to heal, to conceive, and have a healthy pregnancy & birth. Through my classes I empower women to primarily rely on their knowledge of themselves to conceive consciously, and know when to seek outside help, and how to do so in a way that will support their beliefs and wishes. FAM gives women all the tools needed for them and their partner to make informed decisions about how and when to consciously conceive.

Hello, I would love to know more about FAM. I am trying to conceive and feel that I am fertile and have regular healthy cycles but it has not happened yet and I feel that tracking more details would be helpful. How do I start?

      Hi Kat,

There are many subtleties in our cycles that can show up on charts, which is why I love using it as a diagnostic tool. Sometimes even women with perfect 28 day cycles who do not have actual hormonal imbalances show problematic patterns on their charts which can be addressed and healed naturally. I work privately with women in your situation to help teach them how to chart, help them analyze the information they gather from charting, and assist them on their journey to natural conception. Please contact me and let’s talk!

I was recently told that both of my tubes are blocked after doing my second HsG. The first one was fine, I will be starting the castor oil packets today. I am tired and feel like giving up.

      Hi Natissia,

I am sorry to hear that you were told your tubes are blocked. The good news is that this does not have to be a permanent situation, and there are many therapies that can help, castor oil packs being one of them. If you would like to know more about ways to open your tubes back up, I would be happy to help you on your journey to conceiving. You can click here to contact me directly.
